MONTJULIAN, LTD is the official production company of award-winning writer, director, and producer Steven-Charles Jaffe, whose work spans genres, mediums, and decades. His credits include Time After Time, Ghost, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Strange Days, Near Dark, The Day After, and the acclaimed documentary Gahan Wilson: Born Dead, Still Weird. A longtime collaborator with Kathryn Bigelow and Nicholas Meyer, Jaffe began his career working for cinematic icons John Huston (Fat City) and John Milius (The Wind and the Lion).
His documentary Gahan Wilson: Born Dead, Still Weird—a New York Times Critics’ Pick and Comic-Con Film Festival Best Documentary winner—features appearances by Stan Lee, Stephen Colbert, David Remnick, Randy Newman, Guillermo Del Toro, Nicholas Meyer, and Roz Chast. Jaffe also directed a PSA that helped raise over $120 million for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and co-wrote and produced The 100%, an immersive VR experience that won Best VR Film at Tribeca and earned a special Emmy nomination.
He recently completed Zanzibar: Trouble in Paradise, a poignant short about women seaweed farmers confronting climate change, and Motel Hell: Danse Macabre, a darkly humorous, genre-bending musical based on the cult horror film he co-created with his brother Robert J. Jaffe.
MONTJULIAN, LTD continues to champion socially relevant, technologically bold, and creatively daring stories. Several new projects are currently in development—and will be announced soon.
